Lucy - 2007, 15.2 hand AQHA mare
She loves the crazy man-made obstacles and chooses to play with tarps, rather than spook from them (check out her video!). She also carries flags without blinking, and would make a lovely queening horse.
While last with me, Lucy was learning to neck reign, and has a fairly natural stop. She spent time on a ranch in Oregon and has trailed cows, and seems to love just about anything a Western rider might need her for. Her exceptional noise and spook tolerance, as well as her speed and agility, make me suspect she'd be a great Cowboy Mounted Shooting prospect. While I usually rode her western, she does like the English saddle as well, and has even popped over a few jumps. Most of her training has been on trails, but it will not take much to polish up her arena work. She's a very agreeable mount. I have also ridden her bareback. Lucy is going to get along with a lot of riders. She is easy to catch, loads and hauls like a dream, she's easy to keep in shape, and has clean, straight legs, with no blemishes. She is presently a solid family horse in Idaho's Treasure Valley.
