Sunshine - 2012 Sorrel and White Tobiano APHA Mare

2012 Sorrel and White Tobiano Mare. Registered American Paint Horse Association APHA name is Sexy Kela T. The kids lovingly gave her the barn name: Sunshine. It fits her. She is so friendly and always seems happy. Sunshine is not a huge horse but should mature to about 15 hands, just perfect for smaller riders.

Update March 20, 2015: Sunshine has been in regular training for over a month. She is amazing!  She has a great outlook on life, she likes to work and is not cranky. She is mellow though and not looking to do great speed events. Her talents lie in the pleasure classes as she has naturally slow lope/canter, jog and a level topline. Sunshine has a GREAT stop on her with either a touch or a verbal "Whoa.". She will turn on the haunches and is rolling back on the fence, however not a real snappy, quick mare by nature. She LOVES kids and is unphased by their activites. She has had kids crawling all over her and does a nice little jog on the line with my 3 year old daughter. My 7 year old son has ridden her in the round corral by himself but he really isn't into riding so he hasn't done much with her. Sunshine has no issues. She is easy to catch, saddle, bridle, and she ties fine at the trailer.

Update April 2015: Sunshine is turning into such a reliable young mare! She is certainly a kids horse prospect and they are hard to find. If we found the perfect home for her, her price is $4000.

Sunshine's first show - Boise Pony Club Show - Eagle, Idaho - May 9, 2014

Sunshine and her 7 year old rider were awesome!

Sunshine's big deput! We took her to An Event Barn in Emmett, Idaho for cross country schooling. Due to her age, she only jumped the small obstacles but she took the whole experience in confident stride! 4/12/15

Playing with the kids - First time carrying a flag!  Also strutting her stuff going bareback.

Schooling small jumps - ridden by trainer and 7 year old girl. Sunshine has lovely form!

This video was taken by my 7 year old son. It's not great quality but gives an idea of how Sunshine handles the trails. Taken March 25, 2015.
