Merilegs - 2012 black and white Draft/QH/Fjord mare

2012 black and white draft-cross mare, sired by Ernie, and out of Gray Grace. She should be a smaller draft-cross, maturing to about 15.1 hands, and thus far her demeanor is indicating a very sweet and kind horse. Merilegs was brought in from pasture for 3 weeks of training. Merilegs was a rockstar and took to her training with no issues. She will absolutely do anything asked of her. Merilegs is a good example of the kind of horses we raise and train. She is in regular training now and has even been to her first show. We love her and are so excited about her!!

The kids love this little mare! She is a tough little mare. I think she'll mature at about 15.2 hands. She is solid and willing to do anything. She has been hauled around a lot the summer and fall (2015) and is doing great! She successfully competed the Boise Pony Club show in September and brought home a ribbon or two for her rider. See video below. Merilegs also went to the Boise Saddle and Jump Club Fall Festival on October 2 - 3, 2015. She stayed 2 nights there and spent a lot of time schooling and being ridden around the grounds. She completed up to 2' classes with no trouble.

December 2015: I will be riding Merilegs out on the trails and getting her the rugged terrain of the Owyhee front.  So far she has been a star and will make a great trail mount.  I will post pictures as soon as I can find a riding partner willing to brave the cold with me.

Update January 2016: I took Merilegs to a winter schooling jumper show. She was so good for me. We went 2'3" and she schooled the 2"6" course. Looking forward to the February show. See her video below. Now, Merilegs is off to Gable Stables to try out drill team and further her jumping training. She is in consistent training and will be ready for the spring events.
