Ellie is going to be a tall mare. Ernie often produces 16.2+ and Ellie should be one. She has been the tallest of all of the weanlings, even taller than the boys. She is a medium build draft-cross, and is very athletic. Dressage and eventing will be in her future. We started Ellie’s formal ground training in May and she is a star. She has no problem with tarps, bridges, flags, and trailer loading. She moves away from pressure and walks on a long line. We don’t lunge any of the youngsters, we only teach them the basics at the walk. Ellie loves people and has a very sweet temperament.
