Ginger - 2017 Grade Q.H. Filly, 14.3 Hands (exp), Red Dun Roan

Ginger is a SURPRISE foal. We bought Cinnamon (her dam) sight unseen because she is a half sister to our beloved Butterscotch.  Cinnamon came home in the fall of 2016 and was a darling, little, round mare. By late winter, we knew she was too round so we laid her off work and this filly came along in April 2017. She is a pistol from the moment she stood up and is going to be fun. The sire was a coming yearling, red roan who was running with the mares on the ranch where Cinnamon was raised. Ginger will be for sale to the right home. We will keep her until she finds the perfect home and that may mean keeping her until she is trained. This is a huge commitment and one we do not take lightly.

Update: November 2019 - Ginger is in training and doing very well. No buck or fuss at all with this girl. She is currently 13.2 or 13.3 so she will not be huge. She is going to be a nice all-around mount and is going to be fun. I will be uploading video and pictures over Thanksgiving weekend. Ginger will be shown and trail ridden in the spring and summer of 2020.

Update: March 2020: Ginger is coming along so nicely! She is quiet and sensible. We have been working on the basics in the arena: walk, trot, canter, flexing, small obstacles. Ginger is also proving to be a nice little trail mount, even down our busy road. She is unflappable with all of the commotion in and around our barn. We took her to the Treasure Valley Whips playday and she did very well, please see pictures and short video (to be uploaded soon) I love this horse and will continue her training until she is sold.

$3,500 included 30 days additional training.
